Top 3 Tips for Feeling Confident on Camera!

It's easy to feel uncomfortable on camera- from the intimidation of who's going to see it to feeling like you sound funny... but you don't have to feel that way anymore! We’ve rounded up 3 great tips on how to be yourself on camera!

1- Get used to the sound of your own voice!

You are the only person who hears your voice the way you do. Everyone else already hears the voice you’re not familiar with, so to be yourself and learn to like the voice you’ve been given. Repetition is key!

2- Practice makes perfect!

First of all, done is better than perfect. If you’re waiting to start until everything’s in order, it ain’t gonna happen. So just start! And when you start, practice, practice, practice. The more you’re in front of the camera, the more comfortable you’ll get, and the more “perfect” your video will seem! And with MODI, we can edit out all of the “umms”, long pauses, and stutters to make your video a lot smoother.

3- Talk through the camera like your best friend was on the other side!

Who else besides your best friend are you the most comfortable with? Umm, no one! So make friends with your camera. Print out and tape a picture of your bestie to your camera if you need to! He’s the friend that connects you with your current and potential clients and customers, which makes you money! And, when you are yourself, those people can feel a close connection with you.

Being on camera doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating. The more you do it, the more comfortable you are with yourself, your voice, your process, and your friend- the camera. And with MODI’s help, we can add a more professional touch to your videos with our professional editing service.
